List of blogs that I follow

There are so many blogs that I follow that it would be too overwhelming to try to list them all in one go. I’ll add to this page gradually, as time allows. In case you’re wondering, I prefer NetNewsWire.

Baldur Bjarnason 🇮🇸 Atom I first started reading Mr Bjarnason’s blog at about the time of his “This shit’s so expensive” post. Since then I’ve enjoyed his pragmatic perspective on artificial intelligence and other tech topics. Most recently, I enjoyed “The mainstreaming of ‘AI’ scepticism.”
Jason Crabtree 🇺🇸 Atom The image of my oldest daughter driving solo down the street away from our home is burned into my brain so I relate to this muchly. And this advice is solid gold. Go read Jason’s stuff. You’ll thank me.
Denis Defreyne 🇩🇪 ATOM Denis is a software engineer who makes regular weeknotes posts and the occasional work of creative short fiction.
Cory Dransfeldt 🇺🇸 RSS Cory is a web developer who has (as one might imagine) a very nice website. He writes frequently about tech, music, movies, and more. He composed as set of rules to live by in the current Internet age and it really resonates with me. His Instapaper feed is a great resource too.
Robb Knight 🇬🇧 Atom Robb is the cool kid all the cool kids aspire to be. Whether he’s inspiring new trends or making pizza or building cool shit, it’s always fun to see what he’ll come up with next.
Richard MacKinnon 🇬🇧 RSS Richard is a psychologist, self-proclaimed “geek” and avid traveler. I love reading his dispatches from all over the globe—e.g. the recent series of posts and photos from his trip to Tallinn.
Maique Madeira 🇵🇹 RSS Maique is a kind human being and brilliant photographer. I haven’t met him in person (yet?) but his pictures and stories are a constant source of joy.
Marco 🇩🇪 RSS Marco is one of the first people I became acquainted with here in the fediverse, and whose weeknotes updates I have enjoyed reading from the very beginning.
Alex Molas 🇪🇸 RSS Alex is a physicist and data scientist who writes on a variety of science, maths, and tech topics.
Manuel Moreale 🇮🇹 RSS Manuel writes mostly about the indie web and has an interesting series of interviews
Annie Mueller 🇺🇸 Atom I love reading Annie’s stuff because it’s talking to your best buddy. I especially enjoyed here recent posts about how she loves getting older and why she has to wear a turban. (Not really, but it’s funny.)
Adam Newbold 🇺🇸 RSS Adam is the man behind OMG.lol, the best little Internet community around and a precious alternative to enshittified social media. He is why I got back into blogging.
Jeff Perry 🇺🇸 RSS Jeff writes the Clicked blog/newsletter, where he shared a link to a Wall Street Journal short about the Blackwing 602. I’m a big fan of Blackwing pencils so it caught my eye.
Lou Plummer 🇺🇸 Atom I’ve been enjoying Lou’s blog, especially the recent inspirational post, “The Fourth Time is a Charm.” He reminds us that it ain’t over until it’s over, and I take great encouragement from that. Lou is also an accomplished photographer, so check out his stuff!
Joan Westenberg 🇦🇺 RSS Ms Westenberg writes a tech blog with a skeptic’s perspective, which I very much enjoy.
Alexandra Wolfe 🇨🇦 RSS/JSON Alex is one of the OG bloggers that I began following after I came over to OMG.lol. Stop by for the weekly weeknotes, then stay for the photos, movie reviews, and observations from the Great White North.
Ed Zitron 🇺🇸 RSS I especially enjoy Ed’s recent writing on AI, the Internet, and Elon Musk
